Authorities and search crews are continuing their efforts to locate 37-year-old Gherlan “Gigi” Wade, who was reported missing earlier this month.

Investigators said Wade’s vehicle was discovered near the 18500 block of East de Baca Lane in Galveston. They also believe she may have drowned, but her whereabouts remain unknown.

Wade, an avid swimmer, was last seen in the area, though it’s unclear where she may have entered the water or what she was wearing at the time.

She is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing approximately 220 pounds, and wearing a size 10 shoe.

Authorities are asking anyone in the area, especially near the water, to stay alert and report any possible clues. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Galveston Police Department or Texas EquuSearch.
