Today was the third day for our annual Habitat for Humanity home build out at the new Robin’s Landing development in Northeast Houston, and today we saw major progress from the crew in just a few short days.Eric Ortiz from Level Concrete chatted with us about the importance of getting a solid foundation, and a few tips to maintain good leveling.

Today for day 2 of our KPRC 2 Houston Habitat for Humanity home build, we surprised the new homeowners with their brand-new home! A HUGE congrats to Keisha O’Brian and her daughter Stormi for the well-deserved new house that we know they will turn into a permanent loving home.

We’re celebrating the 10th anniversary of our Habitat partnership with some exciting changes…including a brand-new build site!

Today is the kickoff for 10th annual KPRC 2 Houston Habitat for Humanity Home build, and KPRC 2 team members, on-site construction pros and volunteers got the framework of the new house going at 6 a.m. Watch as the crew continues to hammer away to get more of the new home ready for its deserving new family.

For the ninth year in a row, KPRC 2 has partnered with the Houston Habitat For Humanity to help build homes for deserving families in the area.

Nationwide, 84 Habitat affiliates and Habitat for Humanity International will benefit from $436 million donation from philanthropist MacKenzie Scott, and of that amount, Houston Habitat for Humanity received $11 million.

The last time you saw this house, the framework of the walls and roof truss were taking shape. On Friday's Reliant Energy build day, more depth was being built out within the home as visible progress was being made. The Houston Habitat for Humanity home we're helping to put together with UT Health Houston along with Shipley Do-nuts, Reliant Energy, and Veritex Community Bank is coming together! This was the Shipley Do-nuts' build day and we can see the wall is now up as is the roof truss!

On Veritex Community Bank's build day, the walls are being put up on the home being built through KPRC 2's efforts with Houston Habitat for Humanity. Many thanks to UT Health Houston along with Veritex, Reliant, and Shipley Do-nuts for all their help in making this happen!

As volunteers continued to work hard on Wednesday, a new homeowner received a nice surprise when he was presented with keys to a home from Houston Habitat for Humanity.

Houston Habitat for Humanity has secured $33 million in funding to develop Robins Landing, a master-planned community serving low to moderate income Houstonians in their journey to homeownership, the non-profit organization announced Tuesday.

The Houston Area Urban League Young Professionals, in partnership with the Ascend Cares Foundation and Habitat for Humanity, delivered 30 window units for seniors in southeast Houston.

After months of work, KPRC 2’s Habitat for Humanity home is ready to be lived in.
