Westbound lanes of I-10 bridge over San Jacinto River shut down due to major crash

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A major crash has shut down the westbound lanes of Interstate 10 on the San Jacinto River bridge.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office says the lanes are completely shut down going westbound at the river.

The sheriff’s office said the crash involved a car and a motorcycle. One person has been transported to a hospital by helicopter in critical condition.

Authorities urge people to find an alternate route if you are coming through this area. They recommend Highway 225 as an option until the crash clears.
