Before the attack, Siragusa had recently posted her crypto earnings on social media, which totaled more than $20 million, according to Forbes.

What happened

The home invasion and assault happened on Sunday, March 2, at 10:51 p.m. Police said the three robbers demanded she give them access to her crypto account.

When the men couldn’t access her account, police say they pistol-whipped Siragusa.

HPD sources told KPRC 2 Investigates she then led them to her husband, who’d seen his wife’s posts on social media.

Police said the husband was waiting with a pistol and fired shots when the men approached the area.

Investigators believe one robber was shot because there was a trail of blood.

All three ran off and are still on the run, HPD said.

Siragusa was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

She later posted photos and videos of the attack on her X account, @Amouranth, stating, “I’m being too robbed at gunpoint. I believe I shot one of them. They wanted crypto is what they were yelling they pulled me out of bed.”

Siragusa also posted a video of the robbery on her X account, stating, “They beat me before this video and pistol-whipped me. The pummeling felt like it would never end, and I protected my head by putting my arms up like I learned how to do in boxing. Blood was streaming down my head, and my hands were beat brown. They brought duct tape and masks and were armed with handguns.”

The Houston Police Officers' Union also posted about the crime on social media asking if the public has any information about the attack, please call HPD.
