HOUSTON – The southbound lanes of Interstate 45 are shut down at Beltway 8 in the Greenspoint area of Houston after a deadly crash involving multiple vehicles Tuesday.

HPD says the driver of the motorcycle was killed in the crash. A passenger who was also riding on the motorcycle was transported to a hospital. They are expected to survive.
All southbound lanes are currently closed as police investigate.
Drivers are urged to seek an alternate route.
