The tow truck driver identified as 48-year-old Augustin Martinez was giving a customer a ride when he got into an argument with two men in a red Ford Explorer, police said. Before the shooting, Martinez was able to take a photo of the two men, and now police are asking for help identifying them.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A man was found shot to death early Sunday morning at the Frontier Inn on the North Freeway near north Vista Drive.Detectives say a guest at the motel called 911 around 2:30 a.m.The witness said they heard gunshots and saw a man that appeared dead in the courtyard.Precinct 4 Deputy Constables and Harris County Sheriff's Office Homicide Detectives at the scene confirmed the victim is a hispanic male, at least 30 years old.They say the man was hit at least once.Authorities do not have a known motive for the crime or suspect at this time.Detectives are talking to witnesses at the scene and checking surveillance video.They are not sure if the victim was staying at the motel at the time of the shooting, but believe he has stayed there in the past.

Spring, Texas On September 26, 2019, deputies with Constable Mark Hermans Office responded to the 19700 block of the North Freeway in reference to a five vehicle major crash. The vehicle then struck a second raised concrete traffic island and again went airborne and struck a fourth vehicle that was stopped for the red light on Cypresswood Drive. The driver of the fourth vehicle was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital by Life Flight. Jahson Albert displayed signs of impairment and was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for minor injuries and a specimen of his blood was acquired. Jahson Albert was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Felony Reckless Aggravated Assault.

HOUSTON - A woman was struck by a vehicle while walking across the North Freeway on Saturday morning, Houston police said. The incident happened around 1:10 a.m. Police said the woman was crossing the freeway when she was struck by a vehicle. Off-duty law enforcement officers happened across the accident and stopped to help the woman until paramedics arrived. Authorities said the woman was transported to Ben Taub Hospital and is expected to survive. HPD shut down the freeway for a short period.

Police said at least six vehicles were involved in the crash in the southbound lanes of I-45 near West Road. The southbound lanes were closed due to the crash. KPRC2HOUSTON - At least one child is dead in a crash Saturday afternoon involving multiple vehicles on I-45 northbound in Montgomery County. It happened on the North Freeway, north of Calvary Road, north of the Willis area. Three people were transported to the hospital -- 1 woman and two children -- according to Montgomery County officials. A young boy did not survive, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety, and another child is in critical condition. The northbound lanes of I-45 are closed from Exit 97 to Pollard Rd, so motorists should expect delays.

HOUSTON - At least one person was killed Monday in a fiery crash at a north Houston business. The crash was reported about 8:25 a.m. at the corner of the North Freeway feeder road and Memory Lane. Video from SKY 2 showed a charred pickup truck and a sheet covering a body at the scene. It appeared that the truck caught fire after crashing into the motorcycle dealership on the corner. Outbound drivers on Interstate 45 North Freeway should expect delays in the area while authorities investigate the crash.

HOUSTON - A robber was shot Thursday while trying to hold up a fireworks stand in north Harris County, deputies said. The incident was reported about 5:30 p.m. in the 14400 block of North Freeway, near Interstate 45 and East Airtex Drive. Carrie Ridenour, who was visiting Houston, said he noticed something wasn't right just before the shooting. "the gun and him in a hoodie in 110-degree weather," Ridenour. Harris County deputies said a man walked up to the stand and demanded money.
