As we’re heading into the weekend before the all-important double holiday of Christmas/Hanukkah next week, we’re starting to take a much closer peek at our forecast. Basically, what kind of present will we get for our forecast?
The Players:
While the weekend will be spectacular (see below), the bigger question is if we can get it to hold for the holiday.
High pressure will keep sunny skies around through Monday, then another cold front will start to track into parts of Texas.
While the front doesn’t look too menacing, it does appear to be arriving in time for ole Kris Kringle to fly presents across most of greater Houston.
Christmas Eve Night:
As we’re opening presents and/or singing carols with some mule wine and egg nog, your intrepid weather team will be tracking this cold front that will likely swing through late Tuesday evening as Santa is dropping off presents. We’re not seeing anything at this early stage that would indicate any severe weather, mainly just some noisy storms from generally 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. from north to south.
None of this looks to be much trouble at all and should move out before most of (hopefully) the kiddos get up Christmas morning to see what Santa has left them!
We’ll keep tracking the changes for this forecast through the rest of this week and into the weekend, so make sure to check back as there will be updates to get you set for the holiday!
