Planning a road trip through Texas this Christmas? What you need to know about the forecast as you drive

HOUSTON – Hi y’all, it’s Justin!

If you planned on taking a road trip for Christmas, you’re probably wondering what the forecast will be like. Well, you’ve come to the right place! Myself and the rest of the Storm Tracker 2 Team will be updating this forecast each day and there WILL be changes, so make sure to check in with us often!

Forecast for Christmas Eve:

We’re tracking a front that will swing through most of the area, bringing showers and likely a few thunderstorms for a good chunk of Christmas Eve.

We’re not expecting any severe weather with it, but you may need to plan around some wet skies if you have plans outside for the holiday.

Christmas Forecast:

Right now, it looks like the Christmas Eve front will have moved through in time for ole Kris Kringle to bring in the presents with a mostly dry sky!

We’ll stay warm though, likely seeing Christmas afternoon in the upper 60s with plenty of clouds.

Traveling Through Texas:

For the first few days this week, we’ll be seeing no trouble traveling across the state of Texas. If you are trying to get somewhere or get the kids back in town from campus, we should see smooth sailing into Thursday!
