HOUSTON – Houston police are investigating after a man said his neighbor’s body was found in his driveway in southwest Houston Thursday. Police are now saying the victim was fatally shot by a car thief. HOUSTON – Homicide investigators are trying to piece together what happened after they said firefighters found a dead man’s body inside a burning home in southeast Houston Thursday. Police said the incident happened off Hogue Street near Bellfort around 5 p.m. Officials said Houston firefighters located a house with smoke coming out of it and searched the residence. HOUSTON – Police are investigating after they said a security guard at a southeast Houston park discovered a woman’s dead body in the back seat of a van Wednesday night. According to investigators, the guard didn’t see the van pull up while he was making his rounds at the Sagemont Park Community Center on Hughes Road. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the woman dead from gunshot wounds. Police said they believe the woman died somewhere else and that her body was dumped along with the van at the park. Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HOUSTON – Houston police said they are investigating after a woman’s body was found in Lake Houston Monday night. A resident walking along Lake Houston in the 13000 block of Lakeside Terrace Drive at around 7 p.m. saw a body in the lake and called 911, HPD Sergeant J. Saldana and Detective C. Sharp said.
