Congratulations to the KPRC 2 and UTMB Health Athlete of the Week, St. John’s Mavericks senior star hooper Sebastian Williams-Adams.
Williams-Adams is a do-it-all “Swiss Army knife” for the Mavs, and leads them in rebounds, assists, steals and blocks, while coming in 2nd in scoring. Williams-Adams is rated by 247 Sports as a top 50 national recruit and is committed to play college basketball at Auburn. He shines in a versatile role and likes to dominate on both ends of the floor.
“My favorite part of the game is to make a play on both ends on the ball - get a block on one end, then get a dunk on the other end because my teammates work hard for me,” said Williams-Adams.
“He just does so many things on the court,” said St. John’s head coach Josh Boone, a former NBA big man, with four years of experience in the league. Boone is now coaching the Mavericks after retiring from professional basketball in 2022 after more than 15 years.
The Mavericks are 20-8 and 4-0 in SPC play.
