If you’ve spent countless hours scrolling food videos on Instagram or TikTok, chances are, you’ve come across QCP’s cooking posts.

Known for his colorful language and eccentric behavior while creating larger-than-life culinary content, QCP has now partnered with acclaimed ramen spot, JINYA Ramen Bar, to introduce an innovative, Italian-inspired dish called “Ciao” Ramen.

The dish made its debut earlier this week, with QCP, whose real name is Gianluca Conte, sharing the news on his social media page in his signature attire (just an apron and pants) while demonstrating the culinary mashup.

It features tomato puree soup infused with garlic, olive oil, and herbs blended with JINYA’s signature creamy chicken broth. Followed by sous-vide chicken breast, dehydrated cherry tomatoes, a touch (or more in my personal preference) of chili oil, garlic, and aromatic basil oil.

But wait! There’s more: fresh Parmesan cheese is grated tableside.

“I’m thrilled to bring a taste of my Italian roots to JINYA’s incredible ramen experience,” Gianluca (QCP) said. “The Ciao Ramen blends two cuisines I love – authentic Italian flavors and rich Japanese ramen – to create something truly unique and delicious for fans everywhere.”

“At JINYA, we’ve always believed in pushing the boundaries of what ramen can be, and our 15th anniversary is the perfect moment to celebrate that spirit of innovation,” Tomo Takahashi, Founder and CEO of JINYA Ramen Bar, added. “Collaborating with Gianluca to create the Ciao Ramen allowed us to merge the comfort of Japanese ramen with the bold, vibrant flavors of Italy in a way that’s never been done before. It’s exciting, it’s different, and it captures exactly what JINYA stands for: tradition elevated through creativity.”

While JINYA is based in Los Angeles, California, you won’t have to travel too far to get your hands on it. Here are some of the locations in Houston where you can try “Ciao” ramen.
