HOUSTON – If you’ve ever wanted to sip rosé under the sun, taste the best BBQ in town, and casually chat with a James Beard finalist, all while supporting the Houston Food Bank, you’re in for a delicious treat.

Chefs For Farmers, Texas’ premier food and wine festival, returns to Houston September 27–28, and it’s doing it big.

The two-day culinary celebration takes over Autry Park, bringing together some of Houston’s hottest chefs, regional flavors, and small-batch drink makers—all in one lush, scenic space just off Allen Parkway.

This year’s event marks the debut of weekend passes, making it even easier to soak in everything from the Rosé Ranch to the Rodeo-themed BBQ corners. And yes, both taste as good as they sound.

But before the weekend festivities kick off, there’s a special one-night-only dinner on Thursday, September 25: The Surf & Turf Supper, presented by BMW and hosted by Navy Blue’s Chef Aaron Bludorn. Joining him are New York’s Chef Alberto Marcolongo (of Benoit NYC, Alain Ducasse) and Chicago’s Chef Lamar Moore (of ETC), delivering a multi-course tasting menu featuring locally sourced Texas ingredients. It’s a $125 ticket, but a priceless way to jumpstart the weekend with style and flavor.

Then comes the main event.

Across both Saturday and Sunday, guests can explore chef stations, enjoy curated bites, sip on drinks from beverage partners, and unwind in themed areas like:

  • The Rosé Ranch: A photo-ready pink oasis full of wine, charm, and chill vibes.
  • Tailgate Experience: Think beer, games, and bites made for football season energy.
  • The Rodeo Zone: A space dedicated to regional BBQ, complete with flavors and décor rooted in Houston’s smoky, slow-cooked soul.

This year’s chef lineup includes some serious hometown favorites:

  • Quy Hoang & Robin Wong (Blood Bros BBQ)
  • Aaron Bludorn (Bludorn)
  • Evelyn Garcia & Henry Lu (Jun)
  • Marcos Juarez (Hidden Omakase)
  • Michael Hoffman (Brasserie 19), and more.

Gates open at 1 PM for VIP ticket holders and 2 PM for General Admission, with tastings and entertainment going strong until 5 PM. New this year? You can grab a weekend pass and make it a full experience.

Ticket prices (early bird through August 21):

  • VIP Weekend Pass – $279
  • GA Weekend Pass – $199
  • VIP Single Day – $175
  • GA Single Day – $125

Prices go up on August 22, so if you’re thinking about treating yourself (or your foodie friends), now’s the time.

Arguably, the best part, though, is that proceeds from this event benefit the Houston Food Bank, so your indulgence goes toward a good cause.
