Victim attacked during daytime purse snatching

HOUSTON – The Houston Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify two young women involved in a robbery that happened in Downtown Houston last December.

What happened?

Police say a woman was walking near Milam and Jefferson when two suspects approached her from behind around 12:45 p.m. on December 17, 2024. A brief struggle began as one of the teen girl grabbed for the woman’s purse as she waited to cross the street.

During the struggle for the purse, one of the suspects drew back and punched the victim in the face multiple times. The victim screamed for help, causing the suspects to run away before they could be caught.

Who are the suspects?

The first suspect is described as a Black teen girl, about 5′7″ to 5′9″ tall, weighing between 200 to 210 pounds, with a dark complexion. She was wearing a navy polo shirt and tan pants. The second suspect is also a Black teen girl, around 5′0″ to 5′2″ tall, weighing between 90 to 110 pounds, with a dark complexion. She was also wearing a navy polo and tan pants.
