Houston police investigating man found dead near railroad tracks

HOUSTON – Authorities are trying to figure out what led up to a man’s death after he was found unresponsive near railroad tracks Wednesday morning.

Based on preliminary details shared in a news release from the Houston Police Department, an unidentified man, 39, was found unresponsive lying on the sidewalk below an overhead railroad track on Yale Street near the Katy Freeway. Paramedics confirmed he was dead but there were no obvious signs of trauma to his body.

An autopsy will be performed to find out exactly what caused his death.

No additional information has been shared, as of this writing but police are asking anyone with information to call their Homicide Division at 713-308-3600.
