Woman identified as person of interest in bomb threat at Brazoria County courthouse

BRAZORIA COUNTY – A person of interest has been identified in a bomb threat made against the Brazoria County courthouse in Angleton, prompting the campus to evacuate and close for the day.

Officials said they confirmed the threat at 8:41 a.m., prompting an evacuation within a two-mile radius around the courthouse. The threat was initially reported near the intersection of Chenango and East Locus.

Authorities found no materials or devices that could be a danger to the community and the courthouse will reopen on Friday.

The Angleton Police Department has identified Pamela Mccullough, 70, as a person of interest after a multi-agency investigation.

Mecullough’s whereabouts are unknown and law enforcement needs to public help in locating her.

Police describes Mccullough as a white female, 5′ 4 inches tall, with blonde hair and green eyes. She is known to have a “British accent,” police said.

She is believed to be transient but frequents Brazoria and Galveston counties.

Anyone who know’s Mccullough’s whereabouts is asked to call your local authorities.
