Lt. Crowson with Houston PD says it happened a little after 9 p.m. when witnesses told officers a man and woman were sitting in a BMW at a gas station on Barker Cypress near Katy Freeway. Neither of them has been identified as of this writing.
It’s unclear what led up to the shooting, but Lt. Crowson said the man got out of the car and started shooting the woman, who was still inside the car, several times.
Police officers got to the scene and found the woman dead inside the car, while her killer took off. No gun was recovered at the scene, so Lt. Crowson believes he took off with it.

Investigators will be combing through surveillance videos and talking to witnesses to find him.
