Man shot dead after intervening in argument between man, woman in Houston’s East End

HOUSTON – A man was shot and killed after police say he attempted to intervene in an argument between a man and woman in Houston’s East End.

Houston Police said it happened at 101 S. Cesar Chavez Blvd near Harrisburg Blvd. Police say it happened near a METRO bus stop.

METRO Police say a man and woman were arguing when the victim attempted to intervene. Police say the suspect shot the victim multiple times before fleeing.

The victim died from his injuries.

The suspect was apprehended quickly about two or three blocks away.

The victim’s family has not yet been notified and his identity has not been released. Police say the victim was in his mid-40s.
