LIST: Houston area school districts still closed Thursday following extreme winter weather

HOUSTON – As the snow melts after the 2-day extreme winter storm, many Houston-area school districts are preparing to welcome students and staff back to campus.

Some areas still are experiencing some icy road conditions from the inclement weather and for safety precautions, remain closed.

Here are all the Houston-area districts still closed or opening on a delay:

BARBERS HILL ISD

Open, but will have a 2-hour delay to its start.


CLEVELAND ISD

Cleveland ISD will be open Thursday but has a 2-hour delay to starting.


DAYTON ISD

Dayton ISD Schools will be Closed on Thursday, January 23, 2025


HARDIN ISD

Hardin ISD will be closed on Thursday, January 23


HARMONY PUBLIC SCHOOLS

School will resume at its normal schedule on Thursday, January 23 but all extra-curricular activities are also canceled.
