Man charged after 17-year-old teenage girl shot, killed after argument at north Harris County apartment

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A man has been arrested and charged after a 17-year-old girl was killed following an argument in October, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Christopher Thomas, 18, was charged with murder for the shooting death of Laurynn Galloway. A mugshot of Thomas has not been released.

Investigators learned that Thomas and Galloway knew each other and had been involved in an argument the night of the shooting.

The shooting happened around midnight on Oct. 30, 2024 in the parking lot of an apartment complex, located in the 17200 block of Hafer Road in north Harris County.

When investigators arrived at the apartment complex parking lot, they found Galloway suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Thomas was recently captured by HCSO’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team
