Here’s all the Houston-area districts that are closed Tuesday:

CLEVELAND ISD

Cleveland ISD will be closed Tuesday, January 21, 2025. A decision for Wednesday, January 22, 2025, will be communicated in the near future.

A warming center will be set up at Calvary Baptist Church located at 816 North Blair Avenue, Cleveland. The Santa Fe Community Center is prepared to open a warming center in the event there is a loss in power. The Santa Fe Community Center is located at 1680 County Rd 3549, Cleveland.

DAYTON ISD

The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our highest priority. In light of the anticipated weather conditions and the potential for ice, Dayton ISD has decided to cancel all classes and student activities on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.

TARKINGTON ISD

Out of abundance of caution in response to the latest reports of icy roads and hazardous weather conditions; Tarkington ISD has elected to close school, the Tax Office, and cancel all after school activities on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. We are concerned for many of our staff members who commute to work and for our buses and families who journey to school for drop offs. We believe this is in the best interest of our students, staff and community as it will allow families to remain safe in the cold weather conditions.

Tarkington ISD will continue to monitor weather conditions throughout Tuesday. At this time we plan to return to normal operation on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Should conditions necessitate any further changes to the schedule, updates will be posted as early as possible.

We will be updating as more information becomes available.
