“The devastation caused by the wildfires in southern California is heartbreaking,” said Houston Texans Chair and CEO Cal McNair. “We are proud to join together with our NFL family to provide support and resources to those who have been impacted as well as the firefighters and first responders who continue to work tirelessly to contain the fires.”

The Texans’ donation is part of a larger $5 million commitment from the NFL community, which includes contributions from the Los Angeles Chargers, Los Angeles Rams, Minnesota Vikings, and the NFL Foundation. These funds aim to provide critical assistance to the greater Los Angeles region, which has been heavily impacted by the wildfires.

The collective effort seeks to address both immediate needs and long-term recovery efforts for affected individuals, families, and emergency responders. The funds will support housing assistance and aid fire departments as communities work to recover from the disaster.
