Driver killed, another critically injured in concrete truck rollover on Beltway 8

Authorities investigate the aftermath of a rollover crash on Beltway 8 that left one dead and another critically injured. (Pct 4)

A rollover crash involving a cement truck and a work truck on Beltway 8 near Bammel N. Houston Road claimed one life and critically injured another, causing major traffic disruptions in the area.

Authorities confirmed the incident happened in the 11044 block of Bammel N. Houston Road when a cement truck plunged over the side of the Beltway onto the feeder road below.

Emergency responders pronounced one occupant deceased at the scene, while another person suffered possible life-threatening injuries.

EMS transported the injured individual to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The crash has resulted in the closure of three frontage road lanes, causing heavy traffic delays. Drivers are advised to avoid the area, use alternate routes, or expect extended travel times as authorities work to clear the scene and investigate the cause of the accident.

The Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office is leading the investigation.

No further details about the victims have been released.
