Firefighters said they were called to the apartment complex on Golfview Drive located further southwest of Houston, past Sugar Land around 9 p.m. When initial crews arrived, they had to call for additional reinforcements, prompting neighboring fire departments including Missouri City FD to assist.
The flames were contained to one building in the complex, that had about 20 units, investigators said. The building was completely destroyed, displacing about 40-45 residents.
