Woman flown to hospital by Life Flight after being ejected in Crosby crash

A woman has been transported to the hospital by Life Flight after being ejected from a vehicle during a crash early Friday morning.

The incident happened around 1 a.m. at the intersection of FM-2100 and Stroker in Crosby.

According to a Pct 3 Sgt. at the scene, the crash involved a white BMW that became disabled in the lanes.

A pickup truck stopped behind the disabled BMW to assist, but a third vehicle struck the pickup, which then collided with the BMW, causing the woman to be ejected from the passenger seat.

The driver of the third vehicle has been taken into custody on suspicion of DWI.

The woman, initially in critical condition, is now stable and expected to survive.
