Summer makes an early appearance :
Rain chances drop off Monday as the low-pressure system that pushed showers into SE Texas moves away from the Gulf Coast. Instead, High pressure begins to build in from the south, increasing temperatures across the Lone Star State cities west of SE Texas, which could reach the triple digits.
A southerly flow will pull in moisture, increasing dew points and making it feel like 100-105 degrees mid- to late week. If you plan to be outside, remember to take breaks to avoid heat exhaustion.
Monday’s Forecast:
Before the summer-like temperatures arrive, SE Texas wakes up to comfortable morning lows in the upper 50s to low 60s.
Monday, high temperatures will be close to average in the mid to upper 80s.
10-day forecast:
The above-average heat stretches into next week with no real chance of rain. Temperatures will challenge records and have Texans wishing it felt like May instead of July and August.
