Over the next three days, a stalled front will pass over the region, bringing low-end chances for showers and storms. We’ll get a break today until late this evening and some spotty storms for Friday morning’s commute.

Decreasing into next week

Thursday looks to be fairly quiet for most of the day, however, our southwestern counties could see some storms later this evening, rolling into the overnight hours.

Rain chances hover around 20% on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, so if you have Mother’s Day plans, you don’t need to cancel them.

The cold front will clear the area, bringing drier and cooler air and dropping temperatures into the upper 70s and low 80s.

There is one fly in the ointment for the holiday weekend, though. An upper-level low that develops east of SE Texas could increase rain chances if it moves to the west, it will bring more clouds than we wanted for mom but for now, we’re keeping rain chances at 20%.

Next week looks dry and it gets hotter. By the end of next week temperatures climb to the 90s! A steady south wind will make for an early summer-like feel, hope you’re ready!
