The national weather service issuing a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 8 PM for most of SE Texas excluding coastal communities.

Showers and storms move south by 4 PM and become more widespread. Expect storm delays throughout Friday evening.

The Woodlands stays wet and stormy through much of the evening. Heavy rain pushes south by 9 pm., but expect showers to linger with storms overnight.

Saturday, the second round tee time is 7:30 AM; thankfully, it will be dry as storm chances wrap up before sunrise. The only “hazard” will be soaked grounds that may have muddy spots. As the day progresses, the skies go from mostly cloudy to sunny. Temperatures will be cooler in the low 80s with a north breeze no more than 10 mph.

As for Sunday, there are no weather woes.
