Warm temperatures and abundant sunshine have been the trend the past couple of days and for the month.

This naturally leads up to the next question: Are we getting an early taste of summer? And what lies ahead for May?

April High Temperatures:

April 2025 has been notably warm, with at least 21 days exceeding average temperatures for the month, driven by high-pressure systems and Gulf moisture.

Warm despite the rain:

We’ll continue to track for more showers and thunderstorms towards the end of the month thanks to a stronger Gulf moisture, weakening high pressure, weaker fronts, and upper-level disturbances, signaling a shift toward wetter summer patterns. However, our 30 day outlook still shows above average temperatures for Houston in May.
