Before you hide your eggs, you should keep an eye on the forecast. A cold front will move across SE Texas, and rain chances will increase on Sunday.
Saturday will be the best day for an Easter egg hunt because the chances of rain are only 20%. The best chance for showers happen Saturday night as the cold front gets closer but I can’t rule a few showers developing during the evening.
If you have outside plans on Sunday, beware that you will have to dodge scattered showers and storms.
There is a chance for spotty showers on Sunday morning. However, the morning hours are when SE Texas has the most consistent dry time.
Sunday afternoon showers become scattered. Sunday evening, the showers evolve into thunderstorms as the front approaches.
North Harris County, Woodlands, Conroe, Livingston into Madisonville, and Liberty have severe weather chances. The risk is currently 1 out of 5. This means storms will not be widespread but still pose a risk for strong, damaging winds and heavy downpours.
Despite the models images above, Sunday is not a complete washout, but scattered showers and storms may make it challenging to be outside at times. Please stay connected because the timing and intensity of the showers and storms may change with Sunday’s forecast.
