Thursday evening’s weather:
HOUSTON – After another above-average Thursday, we won’t see much relief heading into the evening. Temperatures will slowly dip only into the lower 70s by the time we get into the overnight hours, thanks to the extra cloud cover that will move in.

We continue to see humid conditions as a steady and strong southerly wind continues to bring in moisture from the Gulf. Winds can gust upwards to 30 mph at times before sunset.
What to expect for Easter weekend:
As we look towards Easter weekend, rain chances increase to about 30-60%, with intermittent showers and a few thunderstorms likely.
While Saturday may bring some isolated showers, the forecast suggests more scattered rain on Sunday. It might be wise to have an umbrella handy, or plan for inside egg hunts for Easter Sunday. We’re not expecting a washout but some backup plans for inside might be a good idea.
Sunday’s severe weather threat stays northeast of the metro.
Looking ahead: 10-day forecast
