Here’s who has the best chance at severe storms during Easter weekend

A low pressure will help push a cold front into Texas.

As the front moves east, it can bring strong to severe thunderstorms closer to SE Texas.

Low pressure will drive a cold front through Texas Sunday

Saturday rain chances are very low for Houston, only around 20%, because the front is still west of SE Texas. That is the best chance for strong to severe thunderstorms to extend from north Texas into southwest Texas.

Severe risk stay west of SE Texas

The chances of rain on Sunday increase to 60%. The severe risk is only 15% and the is focused mainly northeast of I-45.

Best chance for strong to severe storms is northeast of I-45.
