Saturday’s Forecast:

Today we’re tracking another air quality alert and Ozone Action Day in Houston. Ozone blocks UV rays in the upper atmosphere, but at ground level, it harms our air, health, and environment. It’s a pollutant—a gas formed when sunlight reacts with emissions from vehicles, factories, and chemicals. As a byproduct of human activity, it’s not a natural part of the air we’re meant to breathe and shouldn’t accumulate down here. Unfortunately, it does, so if you’re sensitive to poor air quality, you should stay indoors.

Weekend Plans?

It looks great this weekend. The humidity starts to climb Sunday, but it’s still a nice day. So while today will be mostly sunny, allergies and poor air quality will be a concern.

Your 10-day forecast:

High pressure will dominate for much of next weekend. And late Sunday the humidity returns. A constant southerly wind will pump in the clingy air next week. Hello, frizz! An early look at Easter weekend looks warm and a little cloudy but should stay rain free!
