The Tornado Watch that was issued this afternoon has been cancelled for all of our viewing area as the storms continue to work their way to the north and east. Showers and heavy downpours are still moving in areas along the Bay, through Chambers County, Liberty County, and Polk County.

While the threat of flooding is low, there is still a chance that some stronger, isolated storms could produce some flooded spots. With the extra moisture in SE Texas, when the cooler air and the warm air clash - it can spark intense storms which could produce heavy downpours on our saturated soil, heightening our flood risk today.
This front will bring cooler air and the clash with the warm and muggy air will create a turbulent mix that can trigger powerful thunderstorms. Timing can change but here is an outline of what to expect as we track the front’s path into Houston.
