Wednesday’s Forecast:
HOUSTON – We’re waking up with warm and humid temperatures in the 70s and our highs will be in the 80s, and the question will be, will we break records Wednesday or Thursday? We’ll hit the upper 80s and maybe in 90 by Thursday. We’re also tracking the marginal risk for severe weather in areas to our north like - College Station, Livingston and Crockett. Plus, it’s going to be windy and humid. In fact, we have a wind advisory in effect from 7 am to 5 pm. We’re tracking south winds around 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

Late Week Storm Chances:
A curious set up later this week will have most of SE Texas wedged between a strong area of high pressure to our southeast and a strong upper level low pressure cell in Arizona. For the next few days, that means windy conditions, a steady stream of Gulf moisture, leading to near record heat and a very sticky afternoon each day. That will send a series of cold fronts headed across Texas, which will eventually bring shower and thunderstorm chances to Houston by Saturday. Some storms could be on the strong side by Saturday evening.

We’ll start the week off on a dry note - in terms of rain. Humidity will keep itself around and temperatures still reach the 80s as we watch for our next system to move in the back half of the work week.
