Showers increase along the coast tonight after 9 PM with temperatures cooling to the upper-60s.
Thursday’s Forecast:
Thursday morning most showers hug the coast, if you are north of I-10 staying mostly dry.
Thursday afternoon showers become more widespread but remain light to moderate.
If you are headed to headed to the Astros’ Home Opener rain should fall apart by the end of the game.

Stay weather alert as there is chance for flooding Matagorda on south.
The storm system shift to the south and southwest will keep Houston’s rain totals 1 -2 " unless you are southwest of the city where totals can come closer to 3″.
Flooding will be highest from Matagorda to South Texas coast with Upwards of 6-10″ is possible that could lead to some significant street flooding Thursday and Friday.
Friday’s Forecast:
Friday there will be two rounds of showers and storms across southeast Texas. One in the early morning before sunrise and one in the evening. Temperatures stay in the 70s with cloudy skies and rounds of rain.
Saturday a few lingering showers are possible but the weekend is shaping up to be nice.
10 Day Forecast:
Aside from a soaking end to the work week with Friday’s rain, we should get back to a relatively quiet pattern next week with highs in the low to mid 80s and a mix of clouds and sun.
