Cool now, but warming up through by the afternoon in Houston

Stay up to date with the latest from the KPRC 2 Meteorologists

Thursday’s Forecast:

HOUSTON – Chilly temperatures are in store for Houston Thursday morning, where a jacket and layers are going to be a good idea when heading out the door.

By the afternoon, you won’t need that jacket anymore as we warm those temperatures up to the low 70s.

The high-pressure slides off to the south and east bringing Gulf moisture back into the area, as humidity and cloud cover increase.

That cloud cover sticks around for most of the day, and as the AJR concert kicks off in the evening, temperatures will slowly fall from the time the concert starts to the time you head home for the evening.

10 Day Forecast:

Seasonable weather is expected for Thursday, before a big warm up to close out the work week. Our next chance of showers and storms comes in on Saturday ahead of another cold front, that will drop us down to the 60s and 70s as Spring Break kicks off for HISD/FBISD students.
