HOUSTON – After a stormy go in the pre-dawn hours of Christmas day, the rest of the holiday will be much more quiet than the early alarm clock many of folks in SE Texas had to deal with.

Christmas Afternoon:
Roads may be a little wet for a chunk of the morning hours after the early storms, however, the rest of the holiday will be just fine! Cloud cover will dominate and we could see a few leftover showers early in the afternoon, otherwise, warm again in the mid 70s.
If you’re headed to the Texans game on Wednesday - we have a slight chance for lingering showers setting up the tailgate but the forecast should turn partly cloudy around noon with temperatures in the 70s.
More Storms Coming:
Don’t let your guard down on Thursday as we’ll be tracking another storm system which also could bring a threat for some strong to severe thunderstorms mainly in the afternoon and evening hours.
We’ll keep track of new changes but be mindful that we could see more storms producing hail, gusty winds and can’t rule out a tornado or two.
10-day Forecast:
We will warm up this week which means there’s a 0% chance of seeing a white Christmas. Our temperatures look to stay above average as we approach the end of 2024.
