HOUSTON, Texas – It’s the most wonderful time of the year - the holidays in December.

But it’s been anything but winter-like in Houston. We’re starting the week with above-average temperatures by 13+, but a strong front will drop the temperatures later this week to seasonable.

Just in case you’re wondering - here is a December preview of what we should be experiencing in terms of temperatures:

December Preview (KPRC)

This week is truly going to feel like a roller coaster in terms of morning lows, thanks to a strong front that will drop our above-average temperatures back to seasonable by the end of the week. So just because it’s warm Monday, doesn’t mean you won’t need your winter jacket by the end of the week.

And if you’re wondering about the Christmas & Hanukkah forecast, it’s looking dry (for now) and slightly above temperatures. Your weather team will update you on the conditions throughout the week.
