HOUSTON – This weekend rain chances are likely across SE Texas, however, it will not be a washout. We will see on-and-off showers with a few embedded thunderstorms possible. With any thunderstorm we can get a quick inch or two of rainfall, and for this we do have a flood risk for SE Texas (it is a low threat). Most of the region can expect to see up to an inch of rain through the weekend.
If we do see more widespread thunderstorms street flooding will be possible. We do not expect anything widespread, but
Rain moves in from the west Friday evening. Mainly after sunset we will see clouds move in from the west and the possibility for showers and a few storms. These chances are highest to our west and north.
Through the overnight hours we can see scattered light to moderate rain showers with temperatures in the 40s.
All of SE Texas has a flood threat for Saturday. If you have outdoor plans I’d definitely make sure you have an indoor option available. Although we are not forecasting a washout it will be cold and miserable to start the day.
To start the day on Saturday we will be cloudy and cool with light rain showers possible. Temperatures will be in the 40s. Rain chances are possible.

Rain chances linger through Saturday night into Sunday morning. Most of what falls will be light but some could be heavy. This means you should plan for a bit of extra time on the roads as anytime we have rainfall we see more accidents.
The flood threat on Sunday has shifted much farther east than prior forecasts. Houston is still under a low risk. The closer to Louisiana you are the higher the risk. Showers and storms are possible Sunday afternoon with temperatures climbing back into the upper-60s and lower-70s.
