Right now it looks to mainly be showers but it is certainly possible we could see some thunderstorms, of which a few could be on the stronger side. For now the Storm Prediction Center does not have us under a risk for severe storms.
Wet roads will be possible through most of the day so plan on extra time on the roads. Widespread we can expect to see anywhere from half an inch to potentially 2″+ with a thunderstorm.
As we go overnight into Thursday our rain chances will stay present. Thursday will still see downpours, especially in the morning. Showers are likely with a few embedded thunderstorms possible.
In fact, we have rain chances on and off through next Monday. This will not be a washout, but you’ll want to keep the radar handy for any outdoor events. Over the next 7 days we could see up to 2-3 inches of rain across SE Texas.
