Tonight’s Forecast:
Tonight we will see mostly clear skies and warm temperatures in the 80s. Overnight lows will dip into the upper-70s.
Thursday’s Forecast:
Thursday will be hot and humid with highs in the mid-90s and a heat index temperature ranging from 105° - 108°. High clouds may keep us below heat advisory criteria, but it will still be hot. Please practice heat safety. There could be a few thunderstorms forming this afternoon and lasting through tonight.
Remember to practice heat safety during this high heat. Drink plenty of water and listen to your body.
Saturday’s Forecast:
Even looking ahead to the weekend it will be HOT! If you’re headed out to Pride on Saturday make sure you drink plenty of water.
Tracking The Tropics:
We are watching two disturbances in the tropics. One is off the coast of Africa moving west. This has a 40% chance of development.
The other is in the Caribbean Sea. It has a 20% chance for development as it enters the Bay of Campeche. This could bring heavy rainfall to Eastern Mexico by Monday July 1st. Saharan dust from Africa is creating dry air where these disturbances are. The dust minimizes tropical development by sinking dry air near these storms. This dust will move into SE Texas Friday and Saturday bringing poor air quality. The particulate matter of Saharan dust also creates beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

Lots of heat and humidity in the 10-day. The haze moves in Saturday and Sunday.
