A Houston man was sentenced to life in prison for using a hammer to murder a woman he was having a relationship with in 2018, Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg announced Wednesday.

HOUSTON – Police are investigating after a woman was stabbed to death at a west Houston apartment complex Tuesday. Officers said the stabbing happened just before midnight off Hayes Road and Olympia. According to investigators, the stabbing possibly stemmed from a fight. Police said they have not received any information on a suspect.
Woman gunned down in shooting calls OnStar before dying in Midtown, police say
HOUSTON – Houston police are investigating after they said a woman was gunned down while sitting in her car in Midtown Tuesday. Police said the shooting happened in the 1200 block of Webster around 10:06 p.m. Police said they are questioning a person of interest that fits the description the woman gave OnStar. Investigators said there is also a video from a cab driver that was behind the car when the shooting happened. The other woman that was in the car was sleeping when the shooting happened, police said.

Search underway for driver who hit and killed woman while she was taking out trash, police say

A search is underway for a suspect after police said a woman was hit as she took out the trash in southwest Houston Tuesday. According to investigators, they are now reviewing surveillance video as they search for the driver who hit the woman, who has been identified as 58-year-old Monica Katrise Roberts. She said she was devastated to learn that a woman had been hit and killed by a vehicle near the dumpsters at the apartment complex. “It is sad and senseless.”According to HPD, there are no witnesses or surveillance video from the scene.
