A criminal network involved in smash-and-grab robberies at jewelry stores inside Houston supermarkets has been dismantled by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

A former Harris County detention officer, Robert Robertson, has been sentenced to six years of community supervision after pleading guilty to charges of engaging in organized criminal activity related to a drug smuggling operation.
