HOUSTON – Houston police said they are investigating after a man was shot while driving in north Houston Tuesday. Officers said the shooting happened in the 1900 block of North Sam Houston Tollway near Aldine Westfield Road around 2:41 a.m. Officers said they found a man with a gunshot wound to the leg and applied a tourniquet before, EMS arrived. According to investigators, the victim and suspect were traveling westbound on the feeder road. When a bullet struck the victim in the leg, he crashed into a pillar under the beltway, officers said.

HOUSTON – Harris County sheriff’s deputies are investigating after they said a man in his 70s was shot in his face during a drive-by Tuesday. When they arrived at the scene, deputies said they found an elderly man who had been shot in the face. According to investigators, the man had been lying in bed when the shooter shot up the house. HOUSTON – Police said they are searching for a gunman who they believe shot and killed a father inside his apartment Monday. Investigators said the shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. on South Kirkwood and Westheimer. According to police, neighbors reported hearing three to four gunshots and minutes later, someone screaming for help. Police said they had to force their way inside the apartment, where they found the father dead and gunshots in a sliding glass door. Detectives are calling the incident a “senseless murder.”
