1 person dead after fire rips through mobile home in Montgomery County, fire marshals say
MONTGOMERY COUTY, Texas โ One woman is dead following a mobile home fire in Montgomery County, according to the Montgomery County Fire Marshalโs Office. Around 10:40 p.m. Saturday, fire crews were dispatched to a mobile home on Ben Smith Road near FM 1486 on a report of a fire. While en route, firefighters received a report a 56-year-old woman was trapped inside. Once they gained entry inside, firefighters found the woman dead. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Montgomery County Fire Marshalโs Office.
Workers discover large explosive device near Magnolia, Montgomery County Fire Marshalโs Office says
HOUSTON โ Montgomery County Fire Marshalโs Office announced Saturday that workers clearing land near Magnolia this week unearthed what appeared to be a large explosive device. The bomb squad responded and determined the device was an inert Mark 80 series aerial bomb. The bomb was recovered and the investigation continues into how it came to be in our area.

The mayor continued by saying COVID-19 health guidelines for bars and restaurants are set by the state.
