A new bill making its way through the Texas Senate could ban all forms of THC in consumable hemp products—including delta-8, which has become a popular alternative to marijuana.

Another hearing on the matter is scheduled for Nov. 5.

The federal farm bill in 2018 made the substance legal because of its low THC content.
