SAN ANTONIO – Cars, trucks, and motorcycles are encouraged to attend a San Antonio-based convoy this weekend in honor of Vanessa Guillen, KSAT reported. The #IAmVanessaGuillen convoy will take place Saturday and all vehicles, including vehicle clubs are invited, according to a Facebook event of the same name. Attendees without a vehicle are also invited to join. The event was created to honor Guillen and other service members who suffered from sexual assault or harassment, KSAT reported. Over 200 attendees are expected to participate this Saturday, and strict COVID-19 guidelines will be followed, according to the Facebook event.

Get ready because you have another drive-in concert to add to your calendars. Country superstar Blake Shelton announced on Wednesday that he has a drive-in concert debuting July 25 at over 300 locations across the country. The concert, presented by Encore Live, will be pre-taped and feature Shelton's longtime girlfriend, Gwen Stefani and fellow country star, Trace Adkins. "This is such a great way to enjoy music with your family and friends and stay safe," Shelton said in a news release. Tickets go on sale July 14 via Ticketmaster and according to the release, each ticket for the Encore Drive-In Nights will admit one passenger car, truck or SUV.

Country singer Chase Rice released a video Monday commenting on his weekend concert which drew controversy. "Everybody had a blast," Rice said in the video posted Monday on his verified Instagram account. Brushy Mountain is a former prison more than 130 miles east of Nashville that has been converted into a museum and concert venue. The video showed a mostly mask-less crowd packed in together, singing and jumping as Rice, 34, urged them on from the stage. "Imagine being selfish enough to put thousands of people's health at risk, not to mention the potential ripple effect, and play a NORMAL country concert right now," Ballerini, 26, tweeted.

The Houston Symphony is returning to the stage for a new concert series. The symphony announced the series Live from Jones Hall will offer an intimate concert experience. The new series will introduce audiences to diverse and engaging programs during an hour-long live stream from Jones Hall at 8 p.m. each Saturday night in July and Saturday, Aug. 1. “I think it will be emotional for all of us when our incredible musicians return to the Jones Hall stage after a more than three-month absence. Virtual attendees can gain access to the private live stream performances by purchasing a $10 ticket online.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will host a new concert aimed at tackling Covid-19. Global Citizen and the European Commission announced on Monday that "Global Goal: Unite for Our Future — The Concert" will stream on June 27. Also appearing will be Billy Porter, Charlize Theron, Chris Rock, David Beckham, Derrick Johnson, Diane Kruger, Forest Whitaker, Hugh Jackman, Ken Jeong, Kerry Washington, Olivia Colman, Salma Hayek Pinault and more. In April, Global Citizen and the World Health Organization threw a virtual benefit concert curated by Lady Gaga, “One World: Together At Home.” The event featured Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert. HOUSTON – Ticketmaster and its parent company LiveNation appear to be easing up and relaxing a stringent refund policy that stuck thousands of consumers with the cost of event tickets, even when the events were canceled on the originally scheduled date. We told you about Phyllis Bailey’s efforts to get a refund when the March concert she planned to attend was rescheduled for August. She wanted a refund instead, but Ticketmaster declined her request. Ticketmaster told her she wasn’t eligible for a refund because her tickets would “still be good” for the new show on March 24, 2022. For cancelled shows fans can choose to receive up to 150% of their ticket value as Concert Cash, and for rescheduled shows they will receive Concert Cash once they attend the new date.

HOUSTON – The Who is coming back to Houston! After their disappointing show in September – when the concert was canceled eight songs in because lead singer Roger Daltrey lost his voice – the band promised they would be back, and they are following through on their word. New information on the Toyota Center website showed that the rescheduled concert will be held on Thursday, April 30 at 7:30 p.m.Tickets start as low as $35 a ticket for seats in the nosebleeds and up to over $1,300 for floor seats, according to the website. The band promised to honor all tickets from the abbreviated show, but the Toyota Center does not have any information about what previous ticket holders should do, or if those tickets will actually be honored.
