A major crash involving two vehicles on North Freeway southbound at Airline Drive is causing major traffic delays Monday, TranStar says.

Firefighters are battling a large blaze at a north Houston store on Tuesday afternoon.

An investigation is underway after a suspected drunk driver fatally struck a man at a bus stop Friday, officers with the Houston Police Department said.

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division needs the public’s assistance identifying a suspect they said stole a woman’s truck at gunpoint, and pistol-whipped a man who was trying to help her.

A person was shot after gunfire was exchanged between two vehicle in north Houston, according to Houston police.

A vehicle fire has closed off several lanes of I-45 North Freeway at Airline Drive headed outbound Monday morning.

Officers from the Houston Police Department are responding to a reported homicide after a man was pronounced dead in north Harris County.

HOUSTON A man is accused of burglarizing a business on the 6800 block of Airline Drive in north Houston, according to the Houston Police Department. The suspect entered the business on July 18 at around 2:26 a.m., according to video surveillance. Once inside, the man stole cash that was in a jar and liquor bottles from the business. He was also wearing a white baseball hat, black t-shirt, black shorts and shoes. HOUSTON - A man was found shot to death Friday night in a car near Aldine. The incident was reported about 9:40 p.m. on Mitchell Road near Airline Drive. Harris County deputies said they arrived to find the 51-year-old man dead. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477. HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- Deputies busted three illegal game rooms in north Harris County late Friday night.Deputies say they executed a search warrant on three separate game rooms on Airline Drive just north of Tidwell.At least five people were arrested along with a security guard who tried to stop deputies from going inside.Investigators say some of them will be charged.Inside, they found a number of gaming machines but no card tables.Authorities say when the search warrant was executed, there were many elderly people gambling. "The saddest part about all these game rooms is the amount of elderly people giving up their hard earned retirement money for little to no odds of winning. Obviously, we would like to see that change," said Sergeant Bradley Stenberg with the Harris County Constable's office.Deputies say no one who was playing inside the game room was arrested, instead they focused on those operating the game rooms.

Monday marks the kick off of the 28th annual “Comida” Food Drive to help feed those in need during the holiday season.
