HOUSTON – Alabama star quarterback Jalen Milroe, the Katy Tompkins graduate, was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the third round.
Milroe is the winner of the William V. Campbell trophy and a second-team All-Southeastern Conference selection.

Milroe said his “superpower” is his ability to beat opponents with his arm and his legs. He is one of the fastest quarterbacks to enter the NFL in years with a 4.40 time in the 40-yard dash at 6-1 7/8, 217 pounds and an impressive 1.44 10-yard split.
A former backup to Heisman Trophy winner and Carolina Panthers top overall pick Bryce Young, Milroe passed for 23 touchdowns, 2,718 yards, six interceptions and rushed for a dozen touchdowns in 2023.
Last season, he rushed for 726 yards and had 2,844 passing yards, 35 total touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
In high school, Milroe passed for 3,825 passing yards, 559 rushing yards and 53 total touchdowns to lead Tompkins to over 30 wins in his varsity career.
