The greater Houston area is loaded with high school athletes and during basketball season there is no shortage of top tier talent across the Bayou City.
In many cases it’s young talent like standout Aiden Fyfe from Episcopal High School in Bellaire. Fyfe is taking his game to a new level for the Knights program and this season is showing he belongs on the varsity level.
“He can really score as a young guard and score at all three levels. He’s going to be really good and he’ll be one of the best guards in his class,” said Episcopal Head Coach Wayne Jones.
This season, Fyfe, has really earned UTMB Health Athlete of the Week honors by averaging 17.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.
“At this age he’s been as good as some of the best ones we have had. He’s on pace to be one of the best we’ve ever coached,” added Coach Jones.
Fyfe loves the game but also embraces being the ultimate teammate.
“It’s been a great year but we plan to keep pushing and win SPC,” said Fyfe.
Fyfe has learned early in his career that leadership is critical for a team to achieve their goals.
“I’m an unselfish player and always looking for my teammates. Team comes first,” added Fyfe.
